The Binder Park Zoo placed their one-of-a-kind carousel in a popular area among visitors, along the Avenue of Flags. The Binda Conservation Carousel hosts three rings of animals that include a Lady Bug, Snow Leopard, Impala, Cheetah, Kangaroo, and two new figures created just for their carousel – a Baby Giraffe and a Colobus Monkey.

Additional detailing has been applied to the carousel’s “center surround,” which features a beautifully hand-painted mural highlighting animals native to all seven continents. Fourteen (14) rounding boards are positioned at the top of the outer perimeter of the carousel. The boards, each separated with a three-dimensional lighted peacock carving, also are hand-painted scenes that illustrate various animals in their natural habitat. Surrounding the carousel are additional themed murals, colorful crests, warm glowing wooden floors, traditional brass poles, merriment music and accessory trims – all meticulously woven together to create a stunning whirl of animals.

With the Binda Conservation Carousel the zoo hopes to provide a fun-filled experience that will connect thousands of children to our precious wildlife in an innovative and unique way.
